Let’s come together and show the community the heart of Spartan country! If you are unable to attend please drop your donations off prior to Friday, October 7th at the CBO. This drive will provide 15 of our MCC families a full Thanksgiving meal.

The 15th Annual Walk/Run-4-Fun is scheduled for Friday, October 14th from 6:30 - 7:30. Registration begins that night at 6:00 at the High School. The children brought their fundraising envelopes home this past week. Here are some of the great prizes the students can earn by raising money.

As we approach our first week of the 22-23 school year, we'd like to share some important information: Back to School mailings were sent out last Monday, August 22nd. If you haven't received your mailing, please contact our office to make sure we have the correct address on file. Back to School Night for our 1st and 2nd grade families is scheduled from 6:00 - 6:45 tomorrow evening at Scottville Elementary. Upon entry, parents should go directly to their child's classroom with their children. Kindergarten families should have received specific information about their child's back to school orientation. Kindergarten orientation occurs on the first day of school. First day of school: Tuesday, September 6th: Kindergarten students will attend their orientation with a parent or guardian at the specified time on September 6th and leave when it concludes. There won't be any bus transportation for kindergarten students on the first day of school. Kindergarten students will have bus transportation in the morning only next Wednesday (Sept. 7th) through Friday (Sept. 9th) as they will have half days and be released at 11:15. The first full day of school for kindergarten children will be on Monday, September 12th and bus transportation will be available to and from school beginning that week for our Kindergarten children. Students in grades 1st through 12th will have a half day of school on September 6th. First and Second grade students will be released at 11:20 that day and transportation will be provided if needed. 2022-2023 School Year Information: The 22-23 school year is right around the corner. The office will be opening again starting next week, August 22nd, Monday - Friday from 8:00 - 3:00. If you or someone you know needs to enroll their child(ren), everything is completed online this year and can be accessed on our MCC website. If you need assistance, please call our office at 231-757-4701. We'll be sending out back to school information next week. This will include your child's class placement and other important information. Back to School Night is scheduled for Tuesday, August 30th at 6:00 at Scottville Elementary for 1st and 2nd grade students. Kindergarten orientation is scheduled for the first day of school and those parents will receive information from their child's teacher in the mailing next week. If you’re enrolling a new student please check to make sure the process has been completed. You do not need to go in and re-enroll students that attended at the end of last year. We will have computers available at Back to School Night for parents that may need help with the enrollment process. Please remember we will also need a copy of your child's birth certificate, a proof of address (a piece of mail or Driver's License with the correct address), a current health assessment from your family Dr. and a copy of hearing and vision testing. ***Supply lists are listed below in a prior post. The Scottville Elementary office will be closed Monday, June 27th through Friday, August 19th. Office hours will continue from 8:00 - 3:00 through this Friday. Voicemail will be checked once each week. Our Central Business office will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 - 3:00, if you need to get in touch over the summer. The Scottville Elementary office will reopen on Monday, August 22nd. ***Parents with incoming Kindergarten children, please contact our office (757-4701) this week to make sure you've completed the registration process. This will ensure that your child is placed in a classroom prior to back to school mailings being sent home in August. ***All Back to School letters will be sent out the week of August 22nd.

For the upcoming 2022-2023 school year it will be very important for all of our parents to have a Parent Portal account set up for their child/children. We are transitioning to an all electronic enrollment system and this will all be done in your Parent Portal Account, including all of our annual Back to School paper work. You can keep up with your child's attendance, grades, assignments, and reach out to teachers through email.
