Today the English Department welcomed Ingrid Fournier from Mason Co. District Library to talk to our students about Unbound and Libby. Unbound gives students access to MCDL books that will be delivered to the high school and Libby gives them access to audiobooks.

MCC varsity football won a nail biter for Ravenna's homecoming 18-15. Dogs made a game of it in the 2nd half but the Spartans get a much needed victory to go to 2-3 on the season. Next game is Friday at Hart for another big WMC Rivers matchup. Fire up, MCC !

Ms. Moore's ELA classroom: Socratic Seminars today talking about Odysseus and Calypso in “The Odyssey”. The students had to prepare answers to questions and self-manage a discussion, then switch and listen to their partners and offer feedback.
MCC Varsity Smash Brothers won their season opener match 3-2 led by Junior Jack Rosenow's match winning game 5! The JV Smash Brothers team won 3-0. The Mario Kart squad raced their way to a 2-0 victory as well! The Rocket Leaguers dropped their inaugural match 0-3. A very good season opening week for MCC esports!

There was a lot of competition but also a lot of fun with Jeopardy! review and formative assessment in Mr. Riggs's Financial Literacy classes today. Financial Literacy is an important life lesson course at MCC.
